How to create a Moment In Nature post

The Moment In Nature feature enables conservation organizations to upload short videos of inspiring moments in nature. This could be anything from a view of a stunning landscape or a video of a beautiful species in nature. The idea is that supporters will have a place where they can immerse themselves in nature, be inspired to take action, and support the organizations protecting these Moments In Nature.

Create your own Moment In Nature post by following the directions below.

Step 1: Go to the Live Feed 

Step 2: On the top of the live feed, you will see a lightning bolt icon, click it to open the different options to post.

Step 3: Select Moment In Nature

Step 4: Select a video to upload. An ideal Moment In Nature video would show a calming view from your field site, a species, and/or anything else that would help people feel like they are transported into nature. Remember sound is important so try and capture it in your video if you can!

Step 5: All of the following options are optional to add. You can upload just a video and that is all if you would like or you can add more information to help educate the public. Add a location of where this Moment in Nature is taking place, a description of what is happening in the video, what species are in the post, and campaigns that you currently have running that people can support that would help protect this Moment In Nature.

Step 6: When you click Select Campaigns it will pull up the campaigns you currently have running to choose from. Click Select for the campaign(s) you want to share. You can select more than one. 

Step 7: Once you have selected the campaigns they will turn green. Click Done and they will be added to your post.

Step 8: If you have added Big Issues to your organization's profile you can select them to add to your post as well. You can select as many as you would like. 

Step 9: If your post qualifies as Good News then you would click the toggle, which will open it up to a text field where you can share why this post should be considered Good News. An example would be: This post is Good News because you can hear the endangered (species name here) in the background. They were absent from this area for 20 years but because of our years of dedicated conservation work, they are back again!

Step 10: When you have finished filling out the description select Next.

Step 11: Next a preview screen will show up allowing you to see what your post will look like. If it's ready to go Click Publish!

Now you will have shared an inspiring Moment In Nature with the world and empowered them to help you protect it.
